We were racing at circuits where there were no crash barriers in front of the pits, and fuel was lying about in churns in the pit lane. A car could easily crash into the pits at any time. It was ridiculous. (Jackie Stewart)
F1Elites went to the A1-Ring for Rnd 17 for another thrilling event!. The track hosted Rnd 17 due to Singapore being on the works so we will do this race at the end of the season. CK Mackey won the race after a battle with Clark. Mackey was on a 2 stopper and Clark on 1 stop but both strategies were very close while Mackey was ahead Clark had a chance but all that went to nowhere after his engine expired leaving CK with an easy win. Chris came in second place followed by Tarantula. The race was fantastic with a lot of action. There were some incidents that are natural in this drag and race type of track. We now move to Fuji for the Japanese grand prix in 2 weeks time. Congratulations top 3 and well done finishers.

PiFive victorious at wet Vanport !. Rnd 11 of the Spirit of F1e is now on the record books after a dominant win by pifive on a soaked Vanport track. Clark started from pole but after a mistake on last corner on Lap 1 pifive took control over the race and fended off hard charges from ITT during the race to capture his third win of the series. The race was a very tough test for the drivers due to the slippery conditions on the little FIATS. We now move to the last round of Spirit series.
Our endurance events will be hosted every 6 weeks during 2008 and is open to all F1Elites members and guests. Check out the links below to signup and get information about this unique series.
A decision of the stewards following the Belgian Grand Prix saw 25 seconds added to Lewis Hamilton's overall race time, the result of which saw him drop down from victory to third place. The win therefore went to second-placed Ferrari driver Felipe Massa.
The stewards considered that Hamilton had not properly allowed Kimi Raikkonen to regain his position after the McLaren driver temporarily overtook Raikkonen's Ferrari while taking avoiding action at the Bus Stop chicane.
McLaren had soon informed the FIA that it would appeal the decision, and has now confirmed the procedure with the following statement:
Martin Whitmarsh said: "Following our decision to register our intention to appeal the penalty handed out to Lewis Hamilton by the FIA Stewards at the 2008 Belgian Grand Prix, we hereby confirm that we have now lodged notice of appeal. Lewis describes the incident as follows."
Lewis Hamilton said: "In the closing stages of the race I was catching Kimi consistently, lap by lap, and with three laps remaining I got close enough to attempt to overtake him on the entry to the last chicane. I managed to get slightly ahead of him in the braking area for the first apex of the chicane. He fought back approaching the second apex - but, in doing so, he left no room for me on the inside line. The only way for me to avoid a collision was therefore to cut inside the second apex."
"I came out of the second apex in front of Kimi and so I momentarily lifted-off on the straight, to ensure that Kimi got back in front. The team also came on the radio and instructed me to allow Kimi to repass, which I had already done. As a result, Kimi crossed the start/finish line ahead of me and 6.7km/h quicker than me."
"After allowing Kimi to completely repass, I crossed fro ...
