Hold the presses.........the FIA Stewards are saying that the fuel in the Ferraris was well below ambient temp.
No never mind.......they were attempting to use the wrong 'orfice' to check the temps. One of the new Stewards thought it was the drivers temps they were supposed to check.
Reporters in the parc ferme area confirmed that when the new Stewart approached Scott during weigh-in after the race wearing latex gloves and carrying the rather large and quite long instrument used for checking fuel temps in the cars that Scott bolted, running to his race winning Ferrari, leaving long black strips of rubber from the spinning rear tires. As the Ferrari got loose and spun around a few times the Tifosi in the crowd went wild, setting off air-horns and red smoke thinking these were NASCAR style celebration 'doughnuts' and part of the celebration.
