Lap 33 - M Kenny / Juice [Collision]
Warning M Kenny

**NOTE** On Lap 2 Scott K Michaels, and Lap 7 JEDI, can both be seen causing another driver to spin. They perform the Gentleman's Rule exactly as is expected and preferred to negate any penalties incurred by advancing the position of the driver causing the collision. All drivers at F1Elites are expected to be familiar with this situation and know when to perform the Gentleman's Rule to avoid receiving Grid Penalties or worse. If you cause someone to lose a body part, a Drive-Thru is usually appropriate.

Drivers under warning:

Scott K Michaels* (2)
Wilo* (2)
JBthegreat** (2)
Jonathan Stewart* (3)
Coopster* (3)
M Kenny* (3)

* = Warnings
(_) = Races remaining under warning

After 3 warnings (***) a driver will receive a 5 spots penalty on his next race.
After 5 warnings (*****) a driver will receive an other 5 spots.
A warning is removed after 3 consecutive races without incidents, or a served warning penalty.

Felt good since I put in quite a bit of track time. I didnt really get a good setup going for race but during the race made a small change to the bias and front wing and gained some speed but then it was already too late and lost ground. Not sure what was going on with everyone but to finish in 9th feels good since that is the best finish for me yet.

I REALLY WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO TARANTULA FOR NOT MOVING OUT OF THE WAY FAST ENOUGH, I thought I had time to drive up and get out of the way on that straight.

Im ready for the next round!

Qualified 14th, managed to finish 7th. I was determined to finish this one, so I turned down my boost and had my radiator and brake ducts at 4 each. It seemed to work, but maybe I went too far. I still don't have the pace of the leaders, but maybe that's just skill. I'll keep plugging along for Team Mercedes. Congrats to my team mate for another great win!
Sincerely,
Michael Schu... I mean Rich Haynie
P.S.: When is Hungary race? It's listed as the same date as Spa...

Got an earlier flight connection home, so was able to race. Crashed on lap 37 trying to defy the laws of physics.

Very dismal Knock Qualifying. After long months of waiting to get a G27 I finally took the plunge but the outcome was not what I was expecting. Had a slow start trying to avoid contact or incidents.... objective done.. then I was according to plan and started pushing little by little making ground on front runners. Was lucky that Cashtuflo was holding a big train of cars.. I managed to pass 3 cars in the hairpin ... then I had a battle with Jacobo and JEDI. From there everything was going as expected .. right until lap 11 coming to the hairpin I totally braked too hard and car darted to left side causing me to crash losing front wing and damaging front suspension... while trying to recover to head to pits.. my car spun and got stuck in the grass eventually losing my engine.

Overall a very disappointing first outing with my new wheel I can only blame the new pedals since I still need to adjust coming from my DFP. Other than that I hope this new tool will help me reach another level of performance.. only time will tell.

Congrats finishers and top 3!

Good race!

Cya at Hungary!

Congratulations to the winner of the German Grand prix and to the podium finishers.

Practice:

I did a very good Job in practices leading up to the grand prix. I practice starts, pitting, et‘al. I was very confident in the car, and my ability to drive it successfully to the finish in this Grand Prix.

Qualification:

All week, I ran with the harder compound tires, but I wanted to give myself a better chance at qualifying in the top 10, so I opted to change tires just as qualification was beginning. However, I did not record the password before leaving the server, so I was not able to get back in for Q1. Luckily, my teammate pinged me via messenger and gave me the password so that I could start the race albeit from the back of the grid. I was happy to do that, because I want to race and hopefully finish.

Race:

I started the race in 21st position. By the time I arrived at the very hard braking turn 4, I was already running 14th, but I lost a position to Rod Ares because he out brake me into that turn. That position I would regain a few laps later. In my mind, I am thinking that 15th is not a bad place to be considering I started last. I continue to push, and during the process I had some very good battles on track. By the time we got to lap 18, I was running in 7th place and was closing slowly on ICEMAN. I don’t know if I could have caught or pass him, but my goal was to finish the race.

The Last thing I remember is coming around the start finish line on lap 20 after passing Jacobo a few laps earlier for position, only to be disconnected from the server. I can’t tell you how frustrating this is for me. I must be the unluckiest SIM racer on the planet. I had a very good car and very good pace earlier in the race. I do my best driving from the middle of the race on. My best was yet to come. I was not blindingly fast, but I was fast and consistent enough to work my way all the way from last to 7th in 20 laps. I was holding my own with Giles V for quite a few laps. I am quite pleased with my performance to that point, but I can’t seem to get a break.

Bahrain  Rfactor crashed to the desktop
Australia  Running 6th in a fierce battle with Jacobo, engine let go with 4 laps to go.
Malaysia  rfactor crashed to desktop
China  Finished 10th, but was my worse drive to date.
Spain  Stalled on the grid
Monaco  disconnected from server with 9 laps to go.
Turkey  Steering failure while running 8th early in the race
Canada  perhaps my best drive to date, brake failure while running a solid 5th.
Valencia  Spun and crashed out on start.
Great Britain I don’t remember what happened, but I failed to get off the starting line.
Germany  disconnected from server.

I certainly don’t know what else to do or say. I will not quit, because it has to get better. It can only get better for me. I am not a bad driver. With these results, one would think that I am a complete neophyte. But those of you I have had good battles with on track, know that I am a very clean driver. I race hard, I try to take good lines, and give room where and when it is necessary. It is a shame that I have not finished more than one race this season.
Anyway, I will continue to push. I like this league very much and I am please to be racing here despite my poor results. See you guys at Hungary.

Special thanks to my teammate for getting me the password to the server. I really appreciate you.
Cheers,

Well, I put in quite a few practice laps and was actually 'feeling' it and was looking forward to a good race. I guess I'm too cautious on the start, I went from 11th to last(?). No biggie, got a decent car and just kept putting laps and staying clean. Woa, I'm 8th with less than 20 to go and my left front rotor exploded and sent me off track. Got some rear suspension damage from it. Limped to the pits, got the damage fixed, but my pitcrew didn't fix the brakes. I should have just parked it at that point, but I tried to limp it home with about 15 laps to go. Wasn't working, got some more damage and exited the race. I'm putting on bigger front rotors for Hungary!

I had long lag from the first turn
Prefer slow down and let me pass car because it was not necessary to harm anyone's career
Jacobo, sorry.
The lag was very strong in the approximation
Finally I decided not to follow in competition not to damage the race anyone
Hope to have more luck in the next
