At least I managed to avoid most of the carnage this time, except for an overly defensive move by someone who had made a mistake exiting turn 1. I got a much better run into and through turn 2 and was slightly ahead. Then said driver moved hard to the inside and drove into me to force me either off the gas, or onto the grass. I got off the gas but he still ended up hitting me as he drove back past resulting in left front suspension damage and twice as long in the pits to repair.

Didnt matter anyways, rF crashed to desktop on lap 31.

5th DNF in a row now.
Kinda over putting hours and hours into testing for every round and getting no results through no fault of my own.

Horrible start since I sneezed and missed watching the lights. Had contact with JEDI (sorry about that). And after finally getting lap times after finally pushing hard was running on fumes and CASH helped me out with a push (thanks cash). I was able to finish but I still have a hard time with the car and wheel spin off turns. I watch everyone from an in car view and try to race like that but i always have wheel spin and put it in the wall or off in the grass/kitty litter. Better result than when I raced in china but still not happy with my part in racing.

nuff said for now.

It was a good race for me. Finally. Stayed out of trouble with no collisions; lots of practice with 30 car field in AI mode. After about six laps, realized my pseudo fuel calculation would have put me very close to zero at the end of the race. So I had to back off a bit.

Had a great rally with Rixracer for the next dozen laps or so. Was gearing up to pit on lap 20, when I vanised like a fart in the wind. Got bumped off the server.

That sucks, but great saying. Now was that fart blowing back for towards you?

Decent racing in the rear, too easily distracted. I spun a couple of times in turn one when mirror driving. Had a good fight with Cash and Mike Kenny until I had a brain fart in turn 8, massive damage. My calculations on fuel were off by about 5 laps. Car overheated when I went in for fuel and got the time penalty, 93 seconds on pit road. I didn't have ignition/starter programmed in, but do now. I still had some fun when I was actually racing with people.

I do not understand because to try to gain a race in the first turn. sad.gif
Much less to force escapes in curve 8. scratchchin.gif
They protested that I am aggressive, and what is? roll.gif
Incident at the end of turn 1 left me of outside and good points sad.gif
Also I did not understand because to cut the track to enter pits, the correct one is to give the return with the damaged vehicle to repair it.
I amused much since I had to come from last position and with many Battles with PI 5, Jacobo, Cash and P Lindsay.

Ha ha ha ha! No. I'm afraid it was of the liquid variety. I had to leave the race to sanitize my soiled garments and to hose off the cockpit. slobber.gif

Kidding aside, I watched the replay as one top ten racer after another were being dropped like the afore mentioned discriptor. Does anyone know how or why this is happening?

Actually not a bad race performance from myself, after lap two. Qualifying did not go as planned and the same goes for getting through turn 1.

Wasnt too quick off the grid due to a short shift into 2nd gear. Then I was squeezed as far to the inside as I could be, going into T1, where I probably overshot my brake marker by a couple meters. Went in a little deep, no harm done, but then lost the rear of the car on the exit and went sliding off. Unfortunately, an HRT car was unable to avoid contact and my rear suspension was damaged with a flat tyre.

I limped very slowly back to the pits and was able to get the car fixed and back out on track. From lap 2, the race went very well to the finish as I pushed like mad to unlap myself from as many cars as possible. In the end it was not enough to be rewarded with any points, but I'm happy with the performance of the drive and knowing that we should have been in a points scoring position today.

The car has come along way since round one. I don't believe we'll be able fight for wins until we get a major upgrade to our controller systems, but honestly this is the most fun I've ever had in F1 sim racing. The challenge and excitement I get fighting for top 10s and top 5s far exceeds that of my earlier seasons when at the front of the pack. That being said, we may never get that controller update online.

Looking forward to another exciting in Montreal!!

After my painful Monaco GP, I was pretty pissed at the mod. Even when I started practicing on the Istanblul track, I was always spinning and I was unable to push.

I spend hours of practice to make a decent set for me. It wasn't so easy but it was drivable. I was still far from Scott or f1racerx's pace but it was still good enough to hope for some points. First lap was so hard for me… same thing over and over again. After lap 2 when tires got hotter, I got my shit together and I ran most of the race without major mistakes. I did only one spin in the whole race. It was much better than what I expected. So I'm pleased with my 6th place. I don't remember the last time there was 6 cars within 30 sec of the winner. The pace at the top was so close. Great race!

I hope all the time spent to make my setup can be useful when making setups for the next races. I won't be able to do that for every races. I missed the time when we could share setups.

Of the DNFs...
JV was involved in a collision.
Octane had an rF crash not a disco.

I think P.Lindsay may have disco'd
I can't remember with Kerlan.

While any discos are disappointing, we do try to minimise issues by using one of the best server hosts in the business (and its not cheap!).

Sorry to hear of the accident. I can only imagine what trauma this has brought to you. Hopefully you got cleaned off and feeling better (next day) and are ready for another race.

sharts = epic nasty
